PEACE in Action is for YOU!

Do you believe a handful of people can change the world?  PEACE in Action does!  One small act of kindness at a time, PEACE in Action seeks to better the lives of our neighbors on the Eastern Shore, and we need your help.  If you share this belief that ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference, PEACE in Action is for you! PEACE in Action, a service project we've blogged about here   and here   (in the post that discussed just a few of the twenty-five PEACE 1 Day projects undertaken on March 25th), seeks volunteers every third Saturday of each month for projects that offer service opportunities catering to a variety of interests and all ability levels, both in Salisbury and in surrounding areas. PEACE 1 Day and Beyond

It's been over a month now, but Palm Sunday 2018 was a particularly memorable occasion on the Eastern Shore this year.  Residents in and around Salisbury are still talking about that day, and for good reason. After all, it's not often that any church decides to forego services in order to serve their community.  But that's exactly what Oak Ridge Baptist Church did last month, on March 25th--825 ORBCers took to the streets in Salisbury and surrounding areas, serving in twenty-five various sites in five different cities.  The faith-filled volunteers expressed their love for Jesus by showing real love to the people the church exists to serve, and that love took all sorts of forms.  Projects ranged from nursing home visits to neighborhood clean-ups, from construction projects to food distributions, from volunteering in schools and a homeless shelter to a pregnancy center.
